Dame Madelyn is a formidable force breathing new life into jazz.
She’s talked about as being truly a class act. “A jazz vixen’s voice with all the glamour you’d expect.” Dame Madelyn’s music is deep, expressive, and an eclectic mix of Jazz, Bossa Nova and Blues. Her self-titled debut EP now available everywhere online.
Dame Madelyn is the goddaughter of Alfonse Semola, the Grand Showroom Conductor and Pianist for Tony Bennett, Liza Minelli and Edie Gourmet. Inspired by her godfather and the great artists such as Duke Ellington, Jobim, Astrud Gilberto, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Nina Simone, to name a few, D.M. has followed her passion as a singer/songwriter cross-pollinating Jazz, Bossa Nova and Blues into a beautiful, unique and modern sound – quoted as being “smoky, vintage and a fresh modern take on old-time jazz & blues.”
