Challenges & Solutions
In early 2020, Las Vegas was completely shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our artists and entertainment partners had zero revenue coming in. The city was under strict lockdown with no live entertainment outlets for people quarantined at home. We needed a safe entertainment concept to keep our venue partners and artists afloat during an unprecedented time.
We converted the MAC Agency office into a fully functional streaming studio with green screen, custom imagery, and professional audio/video equipment. The goal was to keep our artists working and the MGM venues alive while their doors were closed.
“Wednesday Spin” was born. A weekly live entertainment stream engineered to keep artists performing and people isolated at home entertained. We worked in concert with MGM marketing to stream on IG/Facebook Live while creating watch parties on all MGM properties’ Facebook channels.
We implemented a brand new concept, “QR code shout-outs and song requests”, to keep our artists, venues and audience communicating safely by digitizing guest interactions.
Results
The most watched weekly entertainment livestream in Las Vegas: 51K views on April 22, 2020 and 53K views on May 5, 2020.
